CHOOSE THE BEST

I am self enclosed spinning my unseen hours
Lonely on the lea past whispers a voice within
I could not choose the best that makes one worthy
Chosen the shortest road and reached nowhere.

I could hardly see in eyes what sparks are stars!
Read the world wrong being widowed of wisdom,
The deeper the root the lovelier the tree grows
I could not look at it confined my eyes to flowers.

Each spring came to my house like music of guitar
I could not understand its songs to put in rhymes,
Now I am like autumn leaves yellowing to fall
Time smiles at me “I remained unknown to you”.

Dear children learn time each day an hour
The clock makes a parody of life if you fail to learn,
The snake eats the ants when alive, time changes
The ant eats the snake when dead in reverse.

Learn Time how it hides the facts of life in her dress
The day opens the flowers, the evening says go
But leaves the seeds for fruits to grow sweet to taste
You will find the roads that lead to greatness.
